Equine Sports Massage Therapy

Sports Massage Therapy has been known to help restore balance in horse and rider. Improved transitions, assistance in the recovery from injuries, and alleviated symptoms of illnesses are other results from massage therapy in equines. A few examples are back injuries, leg injuries (stifle, suspensory, and tendons), colic, EPM, and tying up. Whether your horse is healthy or not, we believe when muscle system is maintained, you can take it out of the equation if any issues arise.

Myra Galloway was trained and certified by Equissage in Equine Sports Massage Therapy and is a lifetime member of the International Association of Animal Massage Therapists. Myra has been focused in equine rehabilitation with a concentration in lameness for the past 10 years and is the founder of Bay Meadows Equine Rehabilitation. Her local area is North and South Carolina with event/show area the Southeastern United States. She is available for scheduled appointments, event/show sessions, and emergency assistance.

Christa Leavitt has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2000. She is licensed in Florida and a member of the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. She received her Equine Sports Massage Therapist certification from Mary Schrieber of Equissage. Christa is a lifetime member of the International Association of Animal Massage Therapists. Having extensive experience with horses, Christa feels sports massage is an exciting and essential addition to any horse's health care program.
